The Wayfaring Traveler Ranch (WTR) offers the chance to relax at our guest house, hike the trails, trek with a llama, or just sit back and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The fully equipped guest cabin can easily accommodate families.WTR is a working llama ranch of 26 llamas, and offers llama rentals and a horse motel.WTR is centrally located between the Big Horn and Absaroka Mountains outside the small community of Burlington, WY. Nearby Yellowstone National Park and Cody, WY are the hubs of tourism of the area. The Cloud Peak, North Absaroka, and Washaki Wilderness areas are within access of WTR.

We also offer Beginning Packing for Llamas & Handlers workshops taught & individualized for your needs; best for folks with no packing and/or llama experience, as well as for those that have done some packing and may be considering entering a pack trial. We cover fitting pack equipment and teaching your llama to accept it. After basics, we advance into an actual hike that includes water, brush, logs, hills, and other natural packing challenges.
