PLTA Pack Trial Manual: How to Stage a Pack Trial Event
Mad's Manual: How to Put on a Pack Trial -- (pdf, 587 KB)
Also known as the PLTA Pack Trial Manual, or the 'Yellow Book' for the color of its cover, this 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 booklet originated as a set of pointers written by Madeline Landis to explain how to stage a successful pack trial. Viv Fulton took this guide and expanded it into a document that provides detailed and step-by-step instructions for staging a llama pack trial. It has since been revised to keep current with changes and updates by the Board of Directors. It is especially useful for anyone organizing an event for the first time.
For supporting information please refer to the PLTA Pack Trial Handbook (pdf, 1.13 MB) which provides an in-depth information and specifications.
